Running on Empty

With a recent change in medication, I have been extremely under the weather lately. I am waking up, not just lethargic, but physically in pain. What energy I have when I can force myself up very quickly disappears until the evening, when all of a sudden I am much more awake and active. I fear a lot of this is down to coming off the duloxetine (or alternatively known under its brand-name Cymbalta), which at lower dosages is used as a pain killer.

Also, if you read my more politically minded blog, I am torn with the recent decisions of the coalition government. That I appear to be rapid cycling after the change in medication does not seem to help. It is massively depressing that I basically helped fuel the second Tory government of my lifetime, and they already seem ideologically intent in ripping up the very public services that up to now have kept me alive.

However, it could have been much worse if it was a solely Conservative government I suppose. I think I’ll hold out for a while longer.

I hope I can perk up a bit in the next few weeks, but that seems unlikely. It’s getting very difficult to cope at the moment.
